Candidate must be from a member state of the OAS, be a government or regional institutions official with direct responsibility for trade and trade-related issues, be supported by their home institution, hold a university degree, and be fluent in the language of instruction. Preference will be given to those candidates from smaller economies, those who have been directly involved in the FTAA process, and with knowledge of the WTO agreements.
