Although sceptical of the utility and effectiveness of the Committee of Government Representatives on Participation by Civil Society in fulfilling its mandate of acting as a conduit for the cooperation of civil soceity in the FTAA negotiating process and while conscious of it limitations, the CRG and the Centro Mexicano de Derecho Ambiental, A.C. (CEMDA) are nonetheless interested in making use of existing formal channels of communication and participation to offer certain comments which we believe should be taken into account in the FTAA negotiations currently under way. Specifically, comments regarding the CRG and the delegations of negotiators, as well as negotiating groups on the following topics: Investments, Agriculture, Market Access and Government Procurement:
