Fourth Meeting

PRESS COMMUNIQUE

The Fourth Meeting of the Technical Committee on Institutional Issues (TCI) took place on February 28, 2002 in Panama. The following delegations attended: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, the United States and Venezuela.

The TCI agreed on the Agenda and covered all the items on it. The Agenda of the meeting is attached.

The next meeting of the FTAA Technical Committee on Institutional Issues is scheduled to be held in Panama from 2-3 April 2002 if the TNC Chair allows this meeting to commence on April 2, 2002 instead of April 1, 2002, otherwise it will be held as scheduled from 1-3 April 2002.
