PRESS COMMUNIQUE

The Third Meeting of the Technical Committee on Institutional Issues (TCI) took place on December 5, 2001 in Panama. The following delegations attended: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Chile, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, the United States and Venezuela.

The TCI agreed on the Agenda and covered all the items on it. The Agenda of the meeting is attached.

The next meeting of the FTAA Technical Committee on Institutional Issues has been proposed to be held in Panama either on February 25-26, 2002, or February 28-March 1, 2002.
