Nineteenth Meeting

Panama City, Panama, September 9 – 12, 2002

PRESS COMMUNIQUE

The nineteenth meeting of the FTAA Negotiating Group on Services (NGSV) took place in Panama City from 9 – 12 September 2002. Delegates from the following 24 countries were present: Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad & Tobago, United States, Uruguay, and Venezuela. The NGSV discussed all of the items in the agenda, which is attached to this Communiqué.

The date for the next meeting of the NGSV will be announced following the 12th meeting of the TNC, to be held in Quito, Ecuador, 28 – 31 October 2002.
