PRESS COMMUNIQUE

The eighth meeting of the FTAA Negotiating Group on Services (NGSV) took place in Miami, Florida on August 15 - 18, 2000. Delegates from the following twenty-four countries were present: Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, St. Lucia, Trinidad & Tobago, United States, Uruguay, and Venezuela. The NGSV discussed all of the items in the agenda, which is attached to this Communiqué. The NGSV agreed to hold its next meeting from October 16 - 20.
