  1. The Sixteenth Meeting of the Negotiating Group on Subsidies, Antidumping and Countervailing Duties (NGADCV) was held in Panama from 29 to 31 May 2002. Representatives from the following 18 countries in the hemisphere attended:

      Brazil Panama
      Canada Paraguay
      Chile Peru
    Colombia Trinidad and Tobago
      Costa Rica Uruguay
      Dominican Republic United States
      Ecuador Venezuela


  2. The meeting proceeded in accordance with the following agenda:

    1. Approval of the Agenda

    2. Topics of interest to the NGADCV from the Tenth Meeting of the Trade Negotiations Committee (Margarita Island, 24-26 April 2002, and Panama City, 12-13 May 2002)

    3. Identification of options for deepening disciplines on subsidies

    4. Draft of the consolidated text on subsidies, antidumping and countervailing duties
