PRESS COMMUNIQUÉ

The Sixteenth Meeting of the Negotiating Group on Market Access was held in Panama City, Panama from 19-23 November 2001. Delegations from the following countries were in attendance: Argentina, Barbados, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, the United States, Uruguay and Venezuela.

The NGMA agreed on the Agenda, which is attached. All the items on it were covered.

The next meeting of the Group will be held from 28 January to 1 February 2002.
