FTAA - NEGOTIATING GROUP ON DISPUTE SETTLEMENT

PRESS RELEASE

1.The Sixth Meeting of the Negotiating Group on Dispute Settlement (NGDS) was held in Miami on 23 February 2000, with the participation of the following countries: Argentina, Bahamas, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad & Tobago, United States, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

2. The agenda adopted by the Group is attached as Annex I hereto.

3. All items on the agenda were addressed.

4. The next meeting of the Negotiating Group on Dispute Settlement will take place from 5 to 7 June 2000.
