1. The Thirteenth Meeting of the Negotiating Group on Competition Policy (NGCP) was held in Panama from September 5-7, 2001. Representatives of 20 countries of the Hemisphere were in attendance:

2. The discussions in the meeting followed the agenda below:
    
   • Report from the Chair on proposals submitted by delegations on any areas that may merit further consideration based on the study on Antidumping, and Regional Trade Agreements.
      

   • Work on eliminating the brackets from articles 4 and 2 of the Draft Chapter on Competition Policy. 
      

   • Questions 1 and 2 of the document "Proposal for Further Work by the Tripartite Committee on the Study on Competition Policy in Smaller Economies and Economies Without Competition Regimes", using the Proposed Structure for Questions 3, 4, and 5 in the Proposal by Smaller Economies and Countries without Competition Law.
      

   • Other business.
