PRESS COMMUNIQUÉ
 

The Eighth Meeting of the Negotiating Group on Competition Policy (NGCP) was held in Miami from August 1-4, 2000. Representatives from the following countries were in attendance: Argentina, Bahamas, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador. Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, The United States, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

All items on the agenda attached hereto were considered during the Meeting.
