The Sixth Meeting of the FTAA Negotiating Group on Agriculture (NGAG), was held in Miami, Florida from February 7-10, 2000. Delegates from the following countries participated: Argentina, Bahamas, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, United States and Venezuela

The NGAG considered the Agenda proposed by the Chair, which contains as its central theme for the meeting, the continuation of the work of the NGAG for the following months. As a result of the discussions, the Group approved a work program.

It was also agreed that the Seventh Meeting of the NGAG will take place in Miami, Florida, from 16 to 18 May, 2000.
