PRESS COMMUNIQUÉ

The ninth meeting of the FTAA Negotiating Group on Services (NGSV) took place in Miami, Florida on October 16 - 20, 2000. Delegates from the following twenty-one countries were present: Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, St. Lucia, Trinidad & Tobago, United States, Uruguay, and Venezuela. The NGSV discussed all of the items in the agenda, which is attached to this Communiqué. The NGSV agreed to hold its next meeting from December 11 – 15, 2000.
