FTAA – NEGOTIATING GROUP ON GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENT
Eighteenth Meeting
Panama, July 24-25, 2002
PRESS COMMUNIQUÉ
- The Eighteenth Meeting of the Negotiating Group on Government Procurement
was held in Panama from 24-25 July 2002. The following countries were in
attendance: Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa
Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Jamaica,
Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago,
United States and Venezuela.
- The Agenda approved for discussion is attached as
Annex I.
- The meeting considered all of the items on the agenda.
- The Group acknowledged receipt of the civil society contributions
forwarded by the Committee of Government Representatitves on the Participation
of Civil Society to the NGGP.
- The Group’s next meeting will be held in Panama from 10 to 11
September 2002.
